Heinle Picture Dictionary

A must-have in every ESL or bilingual classroom. This dictionary groups words into logical context areas. Each page also contains valuable language references such as pairing nouns with correct verbs. A Words in Action section for each topic guides students to look at words through particular questions and tasks which requires higher order thinking skills and thus helps with memorization.

Excellent book for starters

I teach an English as a Second Language class and this is a must for Spanish speakers trying to learn English and vice versa. It's detailed, colorful and well organized. This book is quite good for anyone trying to learn Spanish. There are quite a lot of photos and terms to help you with common nouns. My wife loved this gift.
