The author's own Mother endorses the book!

Daughters Rising contains the key to many of mysteries of the life-long power in the mother/daughter relationship. I recommend engaging in its relationship exercises with your mother. As Katherine’s mother, I found that the informal precursors to the exercises helped me to see with both amazement, regret and, ultimately, more understanding…... limitations I unwittingly passed down. Katherine and I still talk and the growth continues.
In self-defense, I mention that most of the examples in her book seem to come from her intimate knowledge of mother/daughter relationships from clients she has treated over the years rather than our personal relationship.
We are all daughters of Mothers! And we can rise above limitations that were unwittingly passed down from mother to daughter. While some of the exercises in the “love-in” may cause us pain, hopefully, they will ultimately be growing pains.

Reading Daughters Rising was like talking to a best friend. Katherine Fabrizio's writing is filled with important information for daughters communicated in an easy-to-read, humorous, energizing manner. I finished the book wanting to get up and make some changes! Highly recommended!
