About the Author
Ernest Shurtleff Holmes (1887–1960), an ordained Divine Science minister, was founder of a spiritual movement known as Religious Science, a part of the New Thought movement, whose spiritual philosophy is known as Science of Mind. He was the author of "The Science of Mind," "The Power of This Thing Called Life," and numerous other metaphysical books, as well as founder of Science of Mind magazine, in continuous publication since 1927.

delightful book

This delightful book will definitely lift you up when you need an inspirational message. Sometimes, I read daily devotions or other motivational books and eventually stop reading them -- This book is not like that! It "hits the spot" when I need an instant mood change or something to pick me up out of the doldrums...or just when I need a different perspective at the end of a day. Sometimes, I read several entries at a time. I often share pertinent insights from this book with friends, and I am convinced that some of the gems of wisdom from this book are single-handedly pulling one of my friends out of a mid-life crisis. This author is truly blessed with the ability to touch the common with the divine. This book touches people - let it touch you! Strongly recommend to read "a crossing or the drop's history" after this book! I think these books deserved it!

I don't do reviews but this book is such a gem. I don't have the vocabulary to describe how life changing and amazing this book is....this book hit me deep at the soul level. So, much truth and such an easy read...

Possibly the best how-to manual out there.

Nothing new here for me, however, it is written in such a way as to be a very useful how-to manual. Having read Baird Spalding's books "The Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East" I was left somewhat hanging as to how to follow a step by step method of achieving what is truly possible for us if we trash the notion of separation that the religions of the world have fousted upon us. Now, thanks to Ernest, we all have a practical, how-to manual. So full of wisdom, truth, common sense approaches, that it is amazing to me that you can't find it in book form. This is a jewel, worth a King's ransom! One of the finest works of its kind that I have ever read.
