The First Thing You Should Buy for Back to School

As an ADHD Coach, I talk with parents all the time who are fighting the homework wars and not succeeding.
Homework Made Simple should be in every parent's library. Ms. Dolin offers solid tips and advice for all kinds of students, including procrastinators, avoiders, and inattentive ones.
Each chapter has goals, charts and tip sheets, real life examples, and lots of solutions.
The book is easy to read and understand and offers parents a step by step guide to making homework stress free.
Ms. Dolin knows a lot about her subject and she seems to share every bit of it. There is not a single wasted word in this entire book.
If you have a child in school, you need to buy this book!

Making Homework Simple in your own home!

Full of great homework tips, this book is a must have for any parent who has school age children who is looking for resources to aid them in being successful and limiting overall frustration. The author has laid out a book that typifies children into having different homework habits:
1. The Disorganized
2. The Rusher
3. The Procrastinator
4. The Avoider
5. The Inattentive
6. The Easily Frustrated
If you are not familiar at what type of challenges your child is facing with homework and what type of type your child is, the author also helps with this with some easy to use checklists that help you to identify this for yourself.
The author goes on to do a great job at troubleshooting with you the reader, providing helpful hints and tips that will seemingly help quite a bit.
Overall, I liked the flow of the book as well as how easy the tips are to implement. I would highly recommend this book to others!

A Wonderful Resource

We were having quite a bit of trouble with our 5th grade daughter during homework time. It had become a daily struggle that I dreaded every day. A friend of mine recommended this book as a good resource for me to read. We began to use some of the suggestions in the book and there were pretty much immediate results. The suggestions are simple to implement, very practical and applicable-no matter what grade your child is in. At the risk of sounding over-dramatic this book has changed our lives for the better. We still have a few issues to work on, but there has been a drastic improvement since we first started the year. If you struggle with homework issues in your home, I can't recommend this book enough.
