Fantastic!

I always made it a point in my life never to trust a guy with two first names, but Jim Earl has blown that notion into the netherworld. Mourning Remembrance is chock full of hilarious turns of phrase, socio-cultural insights and scathing satire. It's worth the price if only for the obit for "Frank Perdue, Chicken Choker."

Wickedly Funny Fake Obituaries!

You need this book. It radiates humor. It is the Huckleberry Finn of fake obituary books. It's loaded with facts that will stay with you, like the fact that Glen Bell, founder of Taco Bell "opened his first Taco Bell in 1962 using nothing more than some secondhand e coli and absolutely no concept of what real Mexican food tastes like." The jokes are tightly constructed and no two are alike (with some exceptions that are meticulously footnoted). Buy it. Read it. Carry it around with you. Turn to it during moments of uncertainty.

If you like mocking the dead (and who doesn't), then this is the book for you! Perfect for almost any occasion, "Mourning Remembrance" takes you back to some of the finest moments from Jim Earl's days on "Morning Sedition", and also keeps it current with some hilarious new Obits for such luminaries as Osama Bin Laden and the Segway scooter guy. A must-read for the sick, evil jerk in your life (or in your mirror). Makes an excellent stocking stuffer!
