Surprisingly good...
By Shirley Quinones
Yes, I admit that what first drew my attention to this book was the cover. It was after I read the blurb that I was curious to see how this all played out and I'm happy to say that it was a very enjoyable read.
This is the story of Lexi Darling and her pursuit to satisfy her hunger for wolf Duncan Tremain. Lexi was very determined in her mission and her story of lust and love was very interesting and hot. From the moment their eyes met they were both doomed and try as they might their lust could not be appeased. They fought, they flirted and in the end they `loved' as fiercely as they fought their attraction.
I really liked Lexi. She was a contradiction of sorts. A virgin with a very sensual side, fun, sarcastic and totally comfortable in her own skin, but with a heart so big and a vulnerability so great that my heart went out to her immediately. I have to say, I admired her tenacity - she knew what she wanted and she was going after it, dammed the cost.
Duncan was everything a hero should be - strong, sexy, funny and tender when it was needed. I especially enjoyed his conversations with his wolf. It was great to see such a strong, capable guy fighting what was going to be inevitable and accept his destiny and his bond with his wolf.
Each and every encounter between Lexi and Duncan were off the charts HOT. I enjoyed them so much that I found myself smirking throughout the book, wondering what was going to happen next. The author, A.C. Warneke, kept me intrigued all throughout waiting for when they were finally going to get together and when they did I was not disappointed at all. It was sexy as hell and very, very good. Totally lived up to its hype!
As you can see, I enjoyed the characters and their chemistry. I also enjoyed the interactions between Lexi and her best friends, Dima and Cole. The dialog was great too, which added to the enjoyment of the book. In the sense of developing the characters, the pace and overall plot and resolution, the writing was very good. However, there were many grammatical errors, at least on my version of the book, which sometimes confused me. That is the only reason why I didn't give it a five star rating.
All in all, a funny, sexy read with lovable characters and great dialog.

Caught up in the chase
By Ms Daisy
Siren's Song is a clever little story that kept my interest throughout the book. Duncan and Lexie are a charming pair of mythical beings that fall in love against all odds. Their romance was the stuff legends are made of in the world they inhabited. Supposedly Werewolves and Sirens don't mix, but what do you get when one HOT alpha werewolf that is in a life long struggle with his inner wolf meets a very seductive Siren that is in the midst of her own identity crisis; you get a delightful battle of lust, temptation and need as they both learn to embrace their inner being.
AC Warneke did a wonderful job in breathing life into Lexie's character, she was dangerously seductive and every man's dream in heels, but she also had a vulnerable side that is adorable which made her totally irresistible to Duncan. Poor Duncan, from the moment he sniffed Lexie he didn't know what hit him. You can imagine their surprise when what they thought was a one time hook-up turned into a constant battle of wills once they discovered Duncan was Lexie's new boss. Sit back and enjoy the thrill of a man trying to control his passionate nature and desire for a woman he believes he can't have, and a woman that will use every weapon in her Siren arsenal to lure the man she craves like her next breath into her arms.
There are so many things to like about this story that also dragged it down. I enjoyed how the H/h tried to fight their attraction, and pursued each other with a single-minded intensity to the point of recklessness. Those scenes were repeated over and over again to the point I thought the author got caught up in the chase. I got it the first couple of times, you got a good thing going don't beat it to death. Another problem was the Siren's lore regarding releasing someone from a Siren's spell. I never understood why it didn't work on Lexi's 2 roommates but it worked on her co-worker. In one scene Lexie is told her powers of attraction comes from her singing or humming but in another scene she is told that is not the case. Which is true? It was never fully explained what made Lexie the most powerful Siren in her family. Lexie was a contrast of contradictions; I wanted to know the entire story of the Sirens. I felt the author could have done a better job in building their world. Duncan's back story was just as interesting; I just found it a little hard to believe it took him so long to bond with his wolf. Lexie and Duncan were members of big loving families, they were both the youngest and the most powerful, therefore I wondered why they were left alone to struggle in discovering their true natures.
AC Warneke is an author to watch; she can spin a good tale and create characters you will hate to leave once their story is over. I hope this is not the last time we read about these characters. I would love to read a story about Lexie's sisters, one in particular seemed pretty tense.

Good Story
By Amazon Customer
I have to say that I enjoyed this story. It is not everyday that an author uses the Siren's as a character. As a matter of fact, I have never read a book that involved a Siren (yes there is always that reference to them in they way a women speaks), but never Greek Mythology Sirens. With the gift to seduce and enslave with their voice. I did enjoy the twist that the author put on the Siren lore. Instead, of them luring men to their death, the men only wanted to please the women. The sirens in this story only wanted to be loved. I thought it was genius to make it so that love was a main focus of the strongest siren.
Now, with that being said I did have one problem a virgin who was already to sleep with a man she had just met. Well, I did not believe that part, but given that this is a paranormal and he was a shifter (wolf, alpha of the pack) I can see how it would be possible. Another thing that kinda bothered me was their first time, he didn't realize she was a virgin. Plus, it was just I don't know odd.
I absolutely loved the fact that the author chose to give the wolf a voice and made it so that Duncan had a choice. It reminds us that we can chose to live half a life or we can accept all things about ourselves (good, bad, dark, light) and live a full life. I did feel connected to the characters and I felt like I understood Lexi. Trying to be something you are not, trying to find a place to fit in the world and trying to be happy. I liked Lexi and her awesome sense of style I also liked when she realized that she was not putting on an act that she was in fact being herself.
I found myself wanting more and I hope the author decides to write a story for the artist.
